Cookies
One cookie. No banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
What we set
| Name | What it does | Lifetime | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
hands_session |
Keeps you signed in. It holds a signed reference to your account and nothing else — no behavior, no history, no identifier shared with anyone. | 30 days | Not required: strictly necessary for a service you asked for |
That is the whole list. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no session recording, no A/B testing cookie. Nothing follows you off this site.
Why there is no banner
Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary. A cookie that only keeps you logged in is necessary for a service you deliberately signed up for, so asking would be theatre. If we ever add anything beyond that, a real choice appears here first — and it will be a choice, not a wall.
Third parties
Google Sign-In. If you choose to sign in with Google, your browser loads a script from Google and Google may set its own cookies under its own policy. Use email and password instead and no Google request is made at all.
Fonts. The two typefaces are served from this site, not from Google's font CDN, so loading a page does not tell Google that you loaded it.
Stripe. Only when you open Stripe's hosted checkout or customer portal, Stripe may set cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention. Regular Hands pages do not load Stripe.
Everyone who processes data on our behalf is listed on the sub-processors page.
Clearing it
Signing out removes the cookie. So does clearing site data in your browser; you will simply be asked to sign in again.
