Right of withdrawal
A statutory right, separate from the free trial and from canceling. This page explains how the three fit together.
The short version
- You have 14 days to withdraw from the agreement, no reason required.
- The 14 days start when the agreement is concluded — when you sign up — not when the free trial ends.
- The 30-day trial and the 14-day withdrawal period run alongside each other, not one after the other.
- Withdrawing during the trial costs you nothing, because nothing has been charged.
Why it starts at sign-up
The 30-day trial is a zero-price service period and does not convert into a paid subscription automatically. Under Dutch law implementing the Consumer Rights Directive, the withdrawal period for the trial service begins when that agreement is concluded.
So on day 20 of the trial the statutory period has passed, but no card has been linked and no payment will follow automatically. You can stop using Hands or delete your account at any time. If you later activate a paid plan, Stripe shows that paid order before you confirm it.
Starting immediately
Your Hand is provisioned during sign-up, which means we begin performing before the 14 days are up. The law lets you ask for that, and asks us to be explicit about what it means. During sign-up you will be asked to confirm, separately and not pre-ticked:
“I expressly request that you begin providing the service immediately, and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed.”
We send you written confirmation of that request by email, as required. For a monthly subscription the service is not "fully performed" within 14 days, so in practice your right of withdrawal stays intact; if you use it after we have started, we may charge for the part already delivered, in proportion to the period.
How to withdraw
Email [email protected] and say you are withdrawing. Any clear statement works; you do not have to use a form or give a reason. We confirm receipt, and refund any amount already paid within 14 days, using the same payment method.

What happens to your Hands
Withdrawing or canceling the full subscription blocks connector access and pauses the remaining Hands when paid access ends. Their data is not automatically deleted: delete each Hand in the dashboard, or use Account to export your account data or permanently delete the full account. Choosing Delete Hand removes that individual Hand immediately.
